The other side...?
Have you started feeling at home in Cartesio yet? The town has offered you every hospitality that its citizens could think of. They love every corner of this town and they want you to feel the same. Have you accepted Cartesio into your heart yet?
Then it should be comforting to wake in your hotel room. A ceiling you have gotten used to, the warmth of a blanket surrounding you, your own breathing... and silence. All-encompassing silence.
It perseveres when you leave your room, it perseveres when you leave the hotel... Cartesio is quiet because there is nobody in Cartesio who could be making noise. It's a ghost town.
There is only you now, you think. And then, just as you've given up, a noise comes to your ears. A voice, unmistakably. It's time to follow it.
As of Week 5 you may see random objects and buildings of any size flicker. For milli-seconds they seem to glow on and off, blur around the edges, even distort a little. It only happens for a moment at a time, but it happens fairly often.

wednesday, hangar investigation?!?!
She's been avoiding the park with a fucking vengeance because it's been so busy but she's finally here now, standing a short distance from the week-old statue that she is only now getting a look at, just sort of

[Later, passersby failing to pay enough attention to their surroundings are liable to receive a fun shock when Clarisse just bursts out from the hole Bakugou left in the police station. Surprise!! She actually does not intend to terrify people, it's just sort of a side effect of...whatever she's doing. She seems terribly smug about something or other, which is never a good thing.
"Investigating" isn't exactly the word for what Clarisse intends to do at the hangar but if there's any spooky ghost shit to find on this end that's what it's gonna become?? As a matter of fact, she does not come here intending to kick cars even though she doesn't understand them or planes, but this place is big and sprawling and full of things and corners to hide in and under, and that's Clarisse's shit. So here she's finding her way into every crawlspace and dark spot she can fit into, like a bored cat. What've we got, gang.]

As mysterious as the control panel of the plane might be, none of its buttons and switches do anything right now. There's only one thing that's powered on and it is the navigation system screen, which is showing something very unlike a map.
Lines of code are running over the monitor at medium speed. The majority of it is gibberish to anyone not educated in coding language, but the letters clar show up a surprising amount. ]

Presumably spending some time just randomly mashing buttons and levers isn't going to do anything but we should all know full well that it won't stop her? If there are any pedals or steering wheels or whatever else makes planes actually, like, do their job, she's going to hit and press all those, too...]

she's gonna take a few moments to examine all the shadowy corners and parts of the plane, too, going under seats and crawling through any compartments she might be able to find and access, juuust for the sake of being thorough.]

After fruitlessly putzing around inside some planes just for the sake of it, then, Clarisse repeats the same process with the cars. Either she forgets how the door handles work for a solid minute or so or just straight up crawls in through an open window if one is available, due to who she is as a person, but she's IN THE CAR NOW WHAT'S GOING ON]

all right first things first is there something in the car or immediately nearby she can take as an improvised bludgeoning weapon in case, if and when she opens the hood, something tries to jump out at her.

Looking into the car reveals... an engine. Clarisse might not know, but that is what's to be expected from a car. Only that this particular engine is consistently changing size, pulsing between 'far too small for the car' and 'still too small'. It's a grotesque image that resembles a heartbeat. ]
