GRAVEYARD

The other side...?
Have you started feeling at home in Cartesio yet? The town has offered you every hospitality that its citizens could think of. They love every corner of this town and they want you to feel the same. Have you accepted Cartesio into your heart yet?
Then it should be comforting to wake in your hotel room. A ceiling you have gotten used to, the warmth of a blanket surrounding you, your own breathing... and silence. All-encompassing silence.
It perseveres when you leave your room, it perseveres when you leave the hotel... Cartesio is quiet because there is nobody in Cartesio who could be making noise. It's a ghost town.
There is only you now, you think. And then, just as you've given up, a noise comes to your ears. A voice, unmistakably. It's time to follow it.
As of Week 5 you may see random objects and buildings of any size flicker. For milli-seconds they seem to glow on and off, blur around the edges, even distort a little. It only happens for a moment at a time, but it happens fairly often.
Welcome to the Cartesio Graveyard. Your character has woken up in a version of the town that is devoid of citizens, but there do seem to be a few people around. Time to explore the mysteries of the other side. For a more thorough OOC guide, we have compiled an FAQ.

Trial Trial Trial Trial
The podiums covered are Wayne's and Dazai's. The suspect list consists of Keith, Hawks, Kino, Bolin, and Dabi. ]
no subject
[ boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oda feels like he’s about to faint. he looks incredibly pale, actually. ]
no subject
Only a moment, because there's Oda's voice, the knowledge that Oda is a million times more affected by this than she herself is... and that means there is something to do.
She'll gently place a hand on his arm, looking pale herself. ]
... you should sit down...
no subject
throughout the whole trial, he stays silent, trying to listen to as much info as he can gather from the townspeople. he doesn't care about speculation or tests...he simply wants to see the results. he wants to find the people that killed dazai.
and, so, when dabi finally confesses, followed soon after by hawks, oda pulls out a gun taken from the hunting store from his holster, and places it on his lap. it's obvious what's on his mind. ]
no subject
She sees the gun on his lap. And if he glances back her way, he might see the closest thing to approval she's given him in days... before she turns away.
Dazai has his work cut out for him.]
Reaction
He sees Wayne and makes a noise. Shaking his head as he lowers his voice. ]
What the hell did you do to get yourself killed?
[ Then he sees the other picture. It's the guy with the bandages...Cian's other...
Nine looks over to see if he can catch her eyes. ]
It's Dazai.
suicide mention implied
[ Cian gives a shaky, desperate smile in Nine's direction. ]
This isn't how he wanted to go.
no subject
Hey... it's not the end. He can still go the way he wants to later on.
[ Or you know... here a bunch of times? ]

[ He never knew them much, though he thought Wayne was certainly capable. His eyes flicker over to the suspect list and he feels himself tense. Two of them are on there he wouldn't want to see in addition to the dead. ]
What the hell's up with that suspect list, huh?! I swear, I'll fucking kill that Sergeant and the killer or killers!

Wow Keith sure does get suspected a lot.]

Investigation
He's going to walk where the judge should be standing, make kind of a face because fuck judges, and check for any doors that may lead to the judges chambers or a place where there's files and shit. ]
no subject
There room isn't large. There's a desk across from the door and a bookshelf to the right. On the left there is another door, leading back into the hallway. ]

I swear to fuck, they better not get this wrong. It should be obvious by now that Hawks had nothing to do with this.
[ Yeah he's biased but he'd think he'd know Hawks the best out of all of them up there, so you know, it's fine. ]
When confessions happen
Dabi killed Dazai.
It just had to be Dazai, huh? Not Wayne, not anyone else... Oh, what cruel thoughts these are. Placing one life over others, how wrong of Cian, how vile, how... how villainous maybe. But she can't help it. She had never truly thought Dabi would go out of this without killing anyone. And she'd accepted it. Silently hidden this acceptance in her heart, even knowing it betrayed all the other people she's started to love. Cowardly, a traitor to all those she could truly love. Cian can't help but think that this who she is and always has been.
She just didn't think Dabi would kill... someone who mattered. Someone who in Cian's selfish, publicly incorrect, socially defective, aching heart mattered more than others.
Cian wraps her arms around her knees, buries her face in them. What is she feeling? Is it anger? Is it irrational betrayal? Simple sadness? She's not sure, but it does hurt. ]
no subject
It's not that she doesn't care. Far from. It's that there's simply nothing she can do.
She happens to be in again when the murmurs start up. And at first, all she can think is "Welp. Called it." But then there's Cian and... oh. Oh. Well, there's the most feeling she's had in her heart since she saw the photographs up there at the trial's start.
She goes and sits beside Cian, snuggled right up close beside her as she wraps her arms around her as best as she can.
She says nothing. There is nothing to say. But she has this.]
no subject
That's the first thought she has when she feels the comfort around her. She swallows it. It's a meaningless apology for feelings that she still has, that she cannot change so easily.
Millium has hated Dabi from the start and Cian can't blame her for it, especially not now... Millium was right, likely objectively, and Cian still can't share her feelings. Apologies don't cut it for this.
Millium likely knows this, too, and she's still here. There are other words for this, better words. ]
... thank you...

gently, but very awkwardly, he places a hand on cian's back, just to show that he's there for her. ]
no subject
It takes a moment of silence, of simply being held by both of them, until Cian can look up and into Oda's eyes. ]
We'll see him again now, huh....
[ Dazai. United again. They didn't want this. ]

She doesn't have any idea what that might be, though. She can see what Millium and Oda are doing, but she doesn't think her hand will have the same comforting effect.
Well, she can come over and stand next to her. That's something.]
no subject
The situation is just bizarre... Olympia has killed her, Olympia is trying to comfort her, Olympia is... really every bit as contradictory and complicated as an organic human. Cian doesn't doubt tech like that is possible, she'd just maybe hoped robots would have it easier. ]
... another round of death without meaning, then. It will get livelier around here.

So he did know Steel Wing after all...
[Franciscus steps back into his own podium space, as if he could block one of the feathers from flying at Osomatsu. The chattering of the townsfolk gives him enough of an idea of where to stand, at the very least.] You'd better not be thinking of throwing those...
